Participating in leadership opportunities is great for
building experience on a resumé!

Students commonly join clubs on campus, volunteer at community programs, or take leadership courses to develop their skills and experience.

Check out clubs & organizations at SMU!

The Associated Students of Saint Martin’s University (ASSMU) is the student voice to the faculty, staff, alumni, board of trustees and monastic community. As the University’s officially elected student government, ASSMU represents the needs of the student population to the University administration. ASSMU offers and encourages students to seek opportunities for leadership, organizational training and service through active participation in student government.

ASSMU Meetings: Thursdays in the TUB Activity Room from 11am-12pm. All are welcome to attend!

Benedictine Leadership Program:

This program is dedicated to preparing students for leadership roles and responsibilities in service to the campus community. You will reflect deeply on your own personal values and examine how these values will help you address the complex problems facing our shared humanity.

Become a Peer Tutor!

Another way to build leadership experience is to become a Peer Tutor each semester. Tutoring positions are posted on Handshake, our campus job search platform.
