We are seeking an Architectural Designer I who wants meaningful project experience, direct mentorship and the opportunity to participate in projects from existing-conditions documentation through permitting and construction.
Position Summary
The Architectural Designer I will support the preparation and coordination of architectural drawings, permit documents and project deliverables under the direction of PAStudio’s Principal and senior project staff.
This position is well suited for an early-career architectural professional who is organized, technically capable and ready to contribute to active projects while developing broader experience in project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise architectural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Assist with construction-document and permit-set production.
- Document and verify existing building conditions.
- Incorporate markups and coordinate drawing revisions.
- Support architectural, structural and MEP consultant coordination.
- Assist with zoning, building-code and product research.
- Organize project files, drawing sets and submission documents.
- Participate in site visits, meetings and field documentation.
- Support responses to permitting and construction-related comments.
- Track assigned tasks, deadlines and project hours.
Qualifications
- Professional degree or current advanced degree studies in architecture.
- Approximately one to three years of relevant architectural-office experience preferred.
- Working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft 365 preferred.
- Experience preparing construction documents is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and consultant drawings.
- Strong written, verbal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple assignments.
- Familiarity with Florida or Miami-Dade permitting is beneficial.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
